A disfigured Madonna from Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. This is a digital image, shot with my little Panasonic camera, using a "grainy black and white" setting. Or, you could say, the Tri-X setting. What is photography, after all? Here's a wanna-be John Clarence Laughlin image with simulated grain.
Still, I like it. The quote in the title is from The Saragossa Manuscript by Jan Potocki, a Pole who published his book in French with the title, Manuscrit Trouvé à Saragosse.
